This Geek's Week...

a shot form my painting desk...

Hobby/modeling/miniatures:
- worked some on my Sherman's for FoW.  I also started working on the german Panzergrenadier and artillery elements from the Open Fire box set as well while I waited for the glue to dry on the last two Shermans.  Originally, I was going to keep them "clean" looking, but I then decided to go back and add the extra elements like baggage and such...

Board/Card Games:
- Played the usual daily games of Pokemon TCG with my daughter.

- Played a game of Rampage, and Battletech with my daughter.

- Messed around with my SAO deck for Weiss Schwarz, then played my first trial game.  My SAO deck lost to my Persona 4 deck, but not before getting it to lvl 2...

- Played a family game of Boss Monster, with my daughter winning...

Video Games:
- Played lots of War Thunder, both tanks and air...

- Played some GW2 on my Charr Engineer...

- Played a few rounds of the Pokemon TCG online with my daughter...

Reading:
- Taking a break from Sci-fi/Fantasy, I've started reading "An Army At Dawn" by Rick Atkinson, a WWII novel about the war in Tunisia.  I'm not too far into it, but so far I'm not getting into his writing style...

- I also picked up my 2nd issue of Wargames, Soldiers, and Strategy.  There is a nice little overview of SAGA C&C, and a few articles of interest here and there, but I'm still not sure of enough relevant content (to my interests) to warrant a subscription...

Lately, I've been toying around with notion of "do I really even need this hobby anymore?", and it has kind of put a bit of a downer on things lately... and not for the first time this month either.  Nothing seems to excite me, nothing grabs my interest and wont let go.  Not sure what that really says, or means, for my hobby time, but I just keep going through the motions looking for a spark of excitement.  I think I really gotta get out of the house and do something, but the weekends keep rolling by...
